Facial Peel in Las Terrenas
Most people searching for a “facial peel” want one thing: to get rid of the dull, built-up skin that sun, salt and sunscreen leave behind. Here's what a real peel involves — and why at Evy Spa we do a deep facial cleanse instead.
What we do at Evy Spa is the facial cleanse
We don't offer chemical peels. Our facial treatment is a deep facial cleanse with Germaine de Capuccini cosmetics: cleanse, exfoliate, treat with a mask and hydrate, matched to your skin — which is what most people are after when they search for a peel.

What a facial peel is
A facial peel is a chemical exfoliation: an acid preparation is applied to loosen the surface cells so they shed in a controlled way. It's used mainly for uneven texture, pigmentation and marks. Depending on the depth it can leave skin red or flaking for several days, and it's normally performed by an aesthetic or dermatology clinic.
We don't do that at Evy Spa, and we'd rather say so plainly. We're a day spa — our ground is wellbeing and skin care, not acid procedures.
The good news: for what most people actually arrive wanting after a few beach days — dull, tight skin with sunscreen build-up — the facial cleanse does exactly that job. It includes a gentle exfoliation, which is the “peel” part almost everyone is really after.
What the facial cleanse does

Deep hydration
The mask and finishing steps put water and comfort back into skin the sun and salt air left tight.

Facial peel — frequently asked questions
Do you do facial peels at Evy Spa?
No. We don't perform chemical peels or acid treatments. What we do is a deep facial cleanse with Germaine de Capuccini cosmetics, which includes a gentle exfoliation — for most people that's exactly what they were after.
What's the difference between a peel and a facial cleanse?
A peel uses acids to resurface the skin and can leave redness or flaking for a few days. The facial cleanse cleans, gently exfoliates, treats with a mask and hydrates, with no downtime. On holiday, the cleanse is the sensible choice.
Where can I get a peel nearby?
You'd need an aesthetic or dermatology clinic. We're a day spa, and we'd rather recommend what we do well than improvise a treatment that isn't ours.
How much is the facial cleanse?
US$50 for the 40-minute session at the spa. Book it on WhatsApp like any other treatment.
